Coleman was born in Blackpool, Lancashire. She attended Arnold School Blackpool, where she scored straight A's for the A-levels she took. Coleman regrets not having get a normal schooling when talking about her Emmerdale experience. Coleman was in Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival as part of a group called In Yer Space, which she was a part of when she was at school. Her performance was rewarded with a prestigious award, and the production received positive reviews. When she was auditioning for drama schools, Coleman landed the part as Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. In 2007, Coleman was nominated for two awards. She was named The Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards and Most Popular Newcomer at the National Television Awards. At the 2009 British Soap Awards she was awarded in the Best Actress Sexiest Female and the Best Dramatic Performance category. Coleman received a nomination for Best Actress from the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who made it clear at a press meeting held on the 21st of March, 2012, that Coleman would take over the role of Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat chose her for the role due to her ability to work most effectively with Smith and was able to talk more quickly than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her involvement in the world of film since 1987. Her work has been much more visible on television than in films. Eva's roles in TV series"Dr. Maria Santos, in All My Children, and the role of Detective Natalia Boa Vista in CSI Miami stand out. The latter even garnered her two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations and gave her a chance to experiment with her talents in music. Eva is not only an actor, but also a businesswoman and philanthropist. Eva has had three marriages and also has a daughter with her first husband.
