Tina Louise was an American singer, actress, and writer, best recognized as Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. The stage debut of her career started in the 1950s, with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. After that, she performed in a number of Broadway shows before becoming an international star with Li'l Abner in 1957. In the same year, she released Her first album, It's Time to Tina. Her first appearance into Hollywood was in the role of Griselda on God's Little Acre, which was a 1958 film. It received wide applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. She was enrolled at Actors Studio, New York at the time, and later became Lee Strasberg's student. The year 1964 saw her signing with CBS as a character, Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her acting career effectively with a variety of roles between Broadway TV and Hollywood acting in somber roles against her perceived image of a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The SG-1 series and Sanctuary, although she was an effective television director in numerous series, including Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex in Ontario on the 28th August 1965, her family moved to Toronto when she was three. The city was her home for the duration of her childhood in Toronto and through her teenage years. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the part and she has settled down there ever since.
