Selena Gomez has a worldwide reputation as an actor as well as a performer. The Disney film Wizards of Waverly Place was one of Selena Gomez's most well-known productions. Selena Marie Gomez, her full name is. She was born on the 22nd of July 1992 at Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez were her parents. Selena's mother was just 16 when Selena first came to the scene. At the age of 9, she got her first job as a showgirl when she got the role of Gianna as Gianna in Barney and her Friends. She was one of the kids who were the only historical anthropomorphic dinosaur, the purple one. Selena was a part of the cast for a number of seasons, including seasons 7 and 8, from 2001 to 2003. Fun fact: Demi Lovato, who was part of Barney's Friends during that time as well, worked alongside Selena. Selena Gomez had a few auditions for different shows and movies in the years following Barney and His Friends. She was not successful. After the departure of the show Selena went on to audition for several roles in other programs and films but did not have much success. The role in the film of Emily Grace Garcia was assigned to her for 2006's Brain Zapped, for which she wrote music.
