Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been a model, actor and advocate for animal rights in America. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most acclaimed films. The daughter of an artistic family living in New York she wished to work in the field of art. She began working as a photo assistant then turned to modeling and acting. She won an award called the Golden Globe Award in 1990 because she was a promising young actor. MacGraw's feature film Love Story was an international hit, earning the actress the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. In just three films, she was voted the Top female debut at the box office in the world. Her handprints, autograph and footprints were immortalized in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. The actress has appeared in a variety of other films including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among other. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography by her, was released. MacGraw was married three times.
